GDPR — controller notice for EU/UK guests

For guests located in the European Union or United Kingdom, Premier Hotels Australia Pty Ltd acts as data controller for reservations, stays and correspondence. Processing is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this notice.

We process EU/UK guest data chiefly to perform the accommodation contract and to meet legal obligations on licensed gaming premises.

Legal bases for processing

  • Contract — reservations, stays, dining and event services you request.
  • Legal obligation — casino control, taxation, AML/CTF and liquor records.
  • Legitimate interests — guest safety, security, service improvement and fraud prevention.
  • Consent — marketing communications, optional preferences and non-essential cookies.

Your rights under the GDPR

  • Access — obtain a copy of your data and how we use it.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete records.
  • Erasure — request deletion where no legal retention duty applies.
  • Restriction & objection — limit or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Portability — receive data you provided in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent — for any consent-based processing, at any time.

Some rights are limited where casino-control law requires retention — we will explain any limit that applies to your request.

International transfers

EU/UK guest data is processed primarily in Australia. Where service providers process data in third countries, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, plus access controls and encryption. A list of material processors is available on request.

Making a data request

Email [email protected] with the subject 'GDPR request' or write to the Privacy Officer at our registered address. We verify identity, respond within one month, and advise if a lawful extension or exception applies. There is no charge for reasonable requests.

Complaints and regulators

Contact us first — most issues resolve quickly. You also have the right to complain to the OAIC (Australia), or to your EU/UK supervisory authority if you are resident there. Nothing in this page limits a statutory right.

Common questions

Legal FAQ

It applies where we offer services to, or monitor, people in the EU/UK. We apply GDPR standards to those guests' data as described on this page.

Reservation and transaction records follow statutory retention (generally seven years for financial records); marketing data is removed when consent is withdrawn.

Because our EU/UK processing is occasional, low-risk and not large-scale monitoring, we rely on direct contact with the Privacy Officer rather than an Article 27 representative.
